Gisteravond zijn in Los Angeles de winnaars bekend gemaakt van de Oscars 2025. Vanuit het het Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles werden zondagnacht de 97e Academy Awards live uitgezonden, met Conan O’Brien die voor het eerst de presentatie op zich nam.
Anora en niet The Brutalist is de grote winnaar van de avond. De film verzilvert 5 van de 6 Oscarnominaties. Emilia Pérez, de film met de meeste nominaties (13), sleept slechts 2 Oscars in de wacht. Goed nieuws ook voor Nederland, want de Nederlandse film I’m not a robot (Ik ben geen robot) van regisseur Victoria Warmerdam en producent Trent heeft de Oscar gewonnen voor beste korte film.
