by Afgelopen nacht werden de Golden Globes 2023 uitgereikt.
De 80e jaarlijkse Golden Globe Awards vonden plaats tijdens een ceremonie in het Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, op dinsdag 10 januari. Hoewel geen enkele film of tv-serie de prijzen domineerde, vielen er een paar op. Aan de filmkant won The Banshees of Inisherin van Martin McDonagh de drie belangrijkste prijzen voor Beste Film – Musical of Komedie, Beste Mannelijke Bijrol – Musical of Komedie voor Colin Farrell en Beste Scenario, terwijl The Fabelmans van Steven Spielberg twee prijzen meenam – Beste Film Drama en Beste Regisseur, en fanfavoriet Everything Everywhere All at Once won zowel Beste Actrice – Musical of Komedie voor Michelle Yeoh als Beste Mannelijke Bijrol voor Ke Huy Quan.
Aan de tv-kant leidde Abbott Elementary alle series met drie overwinningen voor Beste Serie – Musical of Komedie, Beste Actrice – Musical of Komedie voor Quinta Brunson en Beste Mannelijke Bijrol – Musical of Komedie. Ondertussen nam HBO’s The White Lotus twee trofeeën mee naar huis voor Best Limited Series/Anthology/TV Movie en Best Supporting Actress in dezelfde categorie voor Jennifer Coolidge.
