De winnaars van de Emmy Awards 2024 werden gisteravond live bekend gemaakt op ABC, waarbij de FX on Hulu shows Shōgunen The Bear de grote winnaars waren in respectievelijk de drama- en comedy-categorieën. Het evenement, gepresenteerd door Eugene Levy en Dan Levy, vond plaats in het Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
Van de 25 nominaties heeft Shōgun officieel 18 Emmy Awards gewonnen, waarmee het een nieuw record vestigde als de eerste show die dit in één seizoen deed. Deze omvatten onder meer Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series voor Hiroyuki Sanada en Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series voor Anna Sawai, waarbij de laatste geschiedenis schreef als de eerste Japanse actrice die in de categorie won. Naast Shōgun hadden de cast en creatieve teams van The Bear en Baby Reindeer ook een geweldige avond hadden met respectievelijk 11 Emmy’s en 6 Emmy’s.
